Their recommendations were systematically opposed by corporate forces and now the 'chickens are coming home to roost.'Humanity is in peril.
Climate change is accelerating the collapse as well as a looming economic crash.
A key driver of the current crisis is too many humans and too few natural resources under a system that does not ensure the rational distribution and maximum utilisation of resources and potential.
Guided by that principle and ethical concern for all life, populations would stabilise and the era of destructive exploitation would come to an end. We require a way for humans to move from crude towards subtle states for collective betterment and that of animals and plants. The basis for a spiritual attainment that is vital to human culture.
Many groups and thinkers know what is coming and have also been thwarted by those who dictate an agenda for their own gain by undermining political and economic democracy.
All attempts to bring fundamental change has been a 'catastrophic failure' as the monster of climate change rapidly closes in.
As things stand, we have 3- 9 years to make a radical correction or worse climate calamities will follow and then mass extinction events with humans and animals fleeing their homelands.
Talk of net zero by 2050 is way too late and a perverse disservice by media green washing.
Tipping points are already being crossed.
We prepare by forming local groups that give us personal democratic access to plans and decision making. Converted into action and policies by local governments as globalisation brings further breakdown.
Building climate resilience is one of our main tasks as well as bringing about a system that works for all instead of bowing to a 'law of the jungle mentality.'
We collaborate with localisation groups for self-reliance, cooperative ventures and help develop regional economic units.
The impending calamity is not simply a matter of groups escaping to survival communities as no one will be exempt from catastrophic chaos.
However, the idea of establishing havens for people to join will be discussed. Just as billionaires (coal barons, etc) are looking at survival bunkers while the rest of us are left to perish.
Local hubs are made up of volunteers working to unite communities over food supplies, water and setting up other essential means.
We employ a process where no-one misdirects 'assemblies' with hidden agendas and corrupt proceedings due to personal egos and attempts to undermine proceedings.
Those who become key volunteers gain the status of coordinator and may be sidestepped if their behaviour goes against the tenor of a survival hub and its aims.
'Knowledge communities' that arise out of survival hubs and associations help define a transition to a progressive social system that relegates dogmas and inequity to the dustbin of history.
Hubs will be a part of a nucleus at the wheel of change and a social cycle that helps us to survive and thrive.
Participants would meet to organise and plan for a sustainable and fairer future as well as generate survival measures that give us a fighting chance.
Our window of opportunity to maintain a livable planet is rapidly closing.
We must act now and apply our collective ability for the sake of our planet and ourselves.
